Dominic Bridge started dancing in 2005 at the age of eighteen in the United States. Completely taken by tango, a year later he packed his bags for Buenos Aires. From the beginning, his focus on connection, action-reaction, energy, and emotion as something to be studied and cultivated has had a deep influence on his dancing and teaching. Dominic began teaching in Europe when he assumed instruction of tango school in Florence in 2008. In 2010 he moved to Paris, and from 2011-2013 partnered with Sigrid Van Tilbeurgh, featuring in various eminent tango festivals. His career became increasingly international, with artistic residencies and tango school-building in Florence, Paris, Moscow, Budapest, Portland, and now Berlin. With over ten years experience as a full-time tango instructor and background in music, psychology, and athletics, Dominic’s passion for teaching continues to grow constantly, having worked with thousands of students in over fifteen countries.
Dominic’s students appreciate not only his uncommon talent as a dancer, but his deep self-awareness and ability to articulate what many people find all but ineffable about tango. He is a devoted teacher who strives to open inner doors within his students so that they may further discover themselves and other life treasures along the way.
